To implement the strategic framework agreement between CNPC and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), on March 22, a delegation led by CNPC Vice President Li Xinhua paid a visit to CSIC. The two parties talked substantially on strengthening cooperation and promoting joint development.
A closer tie between the two key state-owned companies will give full play to CNPC's overseas marketing and service capability and CSIC's strengths in offshore engineer design and construction. Currently, the two sides will size the opportunity to jointly develop international markets, especially in the Middle East and other offshore markets.
After the conversation, CNPC Baoji Oilfield Machinery Co., Ltd, China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation and CSIC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation signed the DSJ-300 jack-up drilling platform contract and a cooperation agreement on market development.
